Tofu Waffles
Ingredients
- 1 14 oz tofu block (extra firm)
- For the BBQ Sauce:
- 1⁄2 cup ketchup (I use sugar free)
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup OR agave
- pinch salt
- For the Toppings:
- 1⁄4 avocado
- 1⁄4 fresh jalapeño
Instructions
1. Press an extra firm tofu block to remove excess water.
2. Cut the tofu block into 4 slices.
3. Mix together ketchup, paprika, maple syrup or agave, and salt to make the bbq sauce. Coat the tofu slices in the bbq sauce so that all sides are evenly covered.
4. Add the coated tofu to a waffle maker and press the tofu in the waffle maker until each slice is crispy. This will depend on your waffle maker settings!
5. Remove from waffle maker and top with avocado, fresh jalapeños, & crema or any of your favorite toppings!
6. Say a prayer of gratitude, serve with love, and eat with joy ❤️
