Description

So the best plum chutney i have ever eaten has to be the one at Bhaktivedanta Manor temple in Watford, London! Every day at 9pm prashad ( which is sacred food offered to God) is given out and plum chutney is one of those offerings! and it is the most delicious chutney EVER! This is my version of plum chutney, i use less sugar as i quite like my chutneys to be tart but if you ever get the chance you absolutely have to go there and try it, it will nourish your soul DEEPLY!

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Cut your plums into 4

  2. add all ingredients into a cooking pot and place on the stove to cook on medium to low heat

  3. cook for about 20-30 minutes till the plums have almost dissolved and become a jammy mixture. So 10 minutes in, it may look watery but you will slowly see it all come together and become jammy and thick.

  4. Stir often to make sure the mixture doesn't stick to the bottom of the pan

  5. Let the chutney cool and then store in an airtight jar in the fridge for a week ( not that it will ever last a whole week because its so damnnn good!)

  6. ♡ Sprinkle some joy, Say a prayer of gratitude and serve with extreme love!

Note

Notes/Substitutions: I use this chutney with everything, as a condiment with my meals, with cheese and oat caraway & flax crackers (of course) and in sandwiches too!
